Will this work

i have a comando v7 that i am working on, the engine is bad and can not find a replacement, this tractor will only be used to pull the grand kids around in the trailer and riding at some shows, i was looking on e-bay and found aKohler Courage XT Series 8TP 25mm x 3-5/32" Vertical Shaft Engine #XT800-2017, will this work with out to many modification

Find a nice 5 hp Briggs or an 8 hp electric start Briggs.

Shoot for just what you Want to do I would just get a predator engine.you can get it at harbor freight for 119 bucks,I have one on a tractor and it runs and pulls just fine,and there easy on gas to.

Its pretty good for the money,I put one on a 701,you will have to make a base plate,but it ain't hard to drill a couple holes.

I've used several they are a great motor for the money only one thing the pull start is weak but they are easy to fix

If you want to go original I know where there is a Commando V7 sittin in the weeds. They want too much for it, that's why it's still sittin but hey, you never know!

Ditto on the Predator engine. Got

one for 99 bucks with coupon.

Put it on a 27" walk behind snow

blower. 2 hp less than the Briggs

that ate a ring. Starts first pull and

plenty of power.
