Flywheel off

Recommended Posts

I got the stubborn flywheel off today and will be cleaning it up inside and out.

Do you fellows think it is safe to clean up in a parts cleaner?  I just dont  want to hurt the epoxy holding the magnets on is my concern.

the epoxy should be chemical resistant, just clean it up in the parts cleaner and dry it off with a blow gun. I have done it many times with no problems. It is a good time to check if any magnets are loose also. you can reinstall loose ones with JB weld.
