312A ignition switch

I have a 1986 312A that I bought a new ignition switch for from Toro. When you turn the switch on you have to slowly turn it right till it hits a spot where it will crank. The local store I got it from changed it out for me but the same thing. We tested the switch off of the tractor and it has a spot where It makes connection. Anybody have a similar problem? I think it's a run of bad switchs.

If the "sweet spot" is not when the key is turned all the way to the right, it seems like a problem with the switch.

Kind of odd that it would happen with 2 switches. What was wrong with the original switch you replaced? Same thing?

No, the original was just worn out and would stick. But it did start fine. It's got to be the switch. I bought this tractor new in 86 and never one single issue ever till this...
