electric lift for rear attachments

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I need some advice on installing a linear actuator to the rear of my 1990 416-8 under the fender next to the fuel tank on the opposite of the drive pulley side ,I would like to make some type of sleeve hitch and use this as the lift. The question's I have are will this be too much for the charging system as I already have factory lift for the mower deck and snow blower. The reason I want to install this is so I can operate a back blade for snow and also use my lift for the snow blower independently and do you guys think there would be enough room under the fender for a linear actuator ?

Thanks Joe

My thought is if you run your lift, fused and switched from the battery, you'd be ok - I think...

If you run one at a time it wont be a problem. Run a fuse/breaker for it and a separate switch and only run one motor at a time and you will be fine. Keep the engine running on high while doing so wouldn't hurt also. I work in the field of hooking many items up to a single 12v source.
