Trans and frame on c-175 vs 520h

The frame and hydro are the same on a C-175 and a 520H, correct?

THat would be correct. If its a swept forward axle on the 520 then you have a different steering system with gear reduction. It was the "power steering" of its time

If the 175 has the eaton trans yes, the frame will be except a few holes on the newer 520 frame, for the gear reduction steering

Is the 520 swept axle on other wheel horse large tractors like the GT-14 or the C-195 or D-series? Could someone post a link showing both front axles and a comparison. I've heard about these for years, but knowing the differences has eluded me. Is it the "bow" in the axle that makes it "swept"

It is the "bow" in the axle as you stated with different components and heavier spindles, etc.. The forward-swept axle was only on the 520 for use with the 60 inch mower deck. It was never offered on the other tractors you mentioned above. Not all 520's have it either. They started with the HC tractor and were added after 1990 on all 520's if memory serves me well. (And it doesn't most of the time).
