Picked Up A Deck For My B-80

Recommended Posts

KC9KAS

Finally picked up a deck for my B-80.

Some time ago, rustyoldjunk had some goodies posted and he had a deck for a B-80 and we made a deal. This was back in November, and I just now made it to Crawfordsville, IN. to get it.

Seems to be in decent shape, but I plan on checking the bearings really good before use.

I know, so here you go...........

Its going to be a little big for an 8hp, don't let the grass get too tall

I am glad that you are going to get use out of it KC9KAS. I think it will be fine on your B80 as long as it isn't used for pasture mowing. I have run a 42 inch on one of my 7HP tractors and the deck was a factory option. ( Not a Wheel Horse,a different brand.)

Don't see any problem with a 8hp running that. If you have an 8 speed that is.  More seat time. :handgestures-thumbup:  :handgestures-thumbup:

These old school 8hp cast iron engines are a little different then running a newer style aluminum 8hp engine. They make good torque across a wide band. My cast iron 7hp Briggs will eat some fairly tall grass with the 42 inch deck.
