Nathanielperz 150 #1 Posted February 17, 2014 I want to put a exhaust stack on my 1276 when I restore it... I just don't know if I want to but one from TSC or get one from here or ebay... My father thinks we should get a chrome stack (which I think would look cool but I can't get that at TSC) I want to get an exhaust that I can put a rain cap on... ( I love the sound of it hitting the exhaust when idling...) Could I get a chrome stack and put a chrome rain cap on it or would the chrome chip off from it flapping? zanepetty 117 #2 Posted February 17, 2014 I don't see the chrome chipping off.. but I found a site the other day that makes stainless steel tractor mufflers that look really good. Hodge71 663 #10 Posted February 19, 2014 Pics of what you're dealing with would be a start Nate.I never had a muffler rust in place. I have a funny feeling you have a pepper pot or shower head muffler….. I would say the best way to get it out would be to fold the pipe in on itself with a good sharp chisel and hammer and then grab it with channel locks and turn it out. Seems to be the option that works most of the time. Just be gentle around the cast iron where the exhaust pipe leaves the block Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
