Rideking 32 #1 Posted February 12, 2014 I hate to admit it, but I know nothing of tires other than going into the local tire place and asking what will fit. However this time I'm in the market for some new tires that I will most likely have to order online. Currently my 310-8 has 15x6.0x6 tires on the front. I'm wanting to put a set of tri-ribs on it - however I can't find a direct replacement in that size. Hopefully someone can "decode" the tire size and help me understand what will fit. dcrage 630 #3 Posted February 12, 2014 "I'm wanting to put a set of tri-ribs on it - however I can't find a direct replacement in that size" I went thru the same exercise last year with the same result -- I was not able to find (nor was the shop that I use which was tied into big tire distrubutors) tri-ribs that size -- Now if we were willing to put tires on an 8 inch front wheel then tri-ribs were available -- I have the 37" deck so that wheel won't work
KATO 115 #4 Posted February 12, 2014 Although not a true tri rib it might be your only option http://www.millertire.com/products/implement-tires/15x6-00-6/15x6-00-6-v61-hd-5-rib-4-ply/
can whlvr 994 #5 Posted February 13, 2014 as mentioned go to an 8 inch rim, then you will have options, unless you are funning the 37 mower deck, then the 8 inch don't work because the tire will rub on the deck,i think the tractor looks way better with the bigger tires, one of our local resident tractor salvage guys will have 8 inch rims
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #6 Posted February 13, 2014 You can put 4.00 X 6 triple ribs on those rims, but the sidewalls will be a little bulged out. I had them on my old pulling tractor: http://www.ebay.com/itm/350738529933
Rideking 32 #7 Posted February 13, 2014 Thanks for all the great info, I went ahead and ordered a set of the Vredestein V61's this morning. Save the effort of tracking down the 8" rims, plus these tires seem to have good reviews.
