Did 416-8 ever come with a Briggs and Stratton

Saw a 416-8 today that had a Briggs Twin Cylinder 16hp - was this ever original from the factory, or is this a repower or combination of Workhorse and Wheelhorse parts?  Thanks.

To my knowledge the 416-8 only came with Kohler singles (K series and Mag) and the newer was the Onan twin.
