sparky6398 2 #1 Posted January 21, 2014 As some of you know, I have a D-250 that I have been messing with to get it up and running. The Renault 4 cylinder engine is stuck and I mean hard, don't think it will be saved. I need to find an engine to replace it and need to know the rotation of the engine. I have a couple diesels, a Yammar and a Kubota, but want to make sure they rotate the same direction to be able to make the clutch work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! baerpath 517 #2 Posted January 21, 2014 Pull the plugs and put penitrating oil in them and let it sit for awhile then spray again and again. Usually it's the rings not the pistons that are stuck. I bought one that was locked up tight, did that for a couple weeks once it was loose it ran fine.
sparky6398 2 #3 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) Duane, Mine had 2" of water in the oil pan under the oil, and also had a little water only left in the radiator. I think if froze and busted the block. Edited January 21, 2014 by sparky6398
