D-250 Engine Rotation?

Recommended Posts

sparky6398

As some of you know, I have a D-250 that I have been messing with to get it up and running. The Renault 4 cylinder engine is stuck and I mean hard, don't think it will be saved. I need to find an engine to replace it and need to know the rotation of the engine. I have a couple diesels, a Yammar and a Kubota, but want to make sure they rotate the same direction to be able to make the clutch work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Pull the plugs and put penitrating oil in them and let it sit for awhile then spray again and again. Usually it's the rings not the pistons that are stuck. I bought one that was locked up tight, did that for a couple weeks once it was loose it ran fine.

Duane, Mine had 2" of water in the oil pan under the oil, and also had a little water only left in the radiator. I think if froze and busted the block.

Counter clockwise looking at the front of the tractor. Had to go check my owners manual to be sure lol
