alot of guys switch out the 6" for the 8" tires and switch the spinals to the shorter ones, I have done this as they look and work better IMPO

Does that keep the tires from rubbing the deck

I presume you have the 37" two-blade deck?

If that's the case, you will need the 6" front wheels with the 15" tall tires & the matching longer front spindles. (they keep the tractor level when using the shorter tires)

By "adjusting rod", I think you are describing the Dial A Height knob that limits the downward travel of the lift lever.

Note: Wheel Horse mower decks are designed to rest completely on the ground with the cutting height controlled by the lever on the deck.

Check the Vendors section for Kelly's Tractor Salvage or Joe's Outdoor Power for used parts: http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/forum/92-vendors/

...or you can post a "wanted" ad in the classifieds forum for the appropriate parts. :handgestures-thumbup:

(you'll need 300/400 series 6" front wheels & tires and matching spindles, and a complete Dial-A-Height to fit a 312-8)

The 312s I had were "most comfortable" with a 42" deck.

If you go with anything other than the 37" two-blade you can keep the larger front wheel/tires. :handgestures-thumbup:

Like Terry said.  If you just get the bigger 42 rear or side discharge deck, you won't have to change out tires rims etc.   any pictures?   :text-welcomeconfetti:

What parts/ attachments are interchangeable with a 312-8? By that I mean what other  series/models can be used with/on a 312-8?
