JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #1 Posted January 16, 2014 Ok,,,heres the story. When I went to a friends house to borrow the smaller bearing seperator for my steering wheel, we go in the garage. He has a D series wheel horse he found in the woods. Well you could have pushed me over with a feather. A friend of his had it, left it where it was parked, in the woods behind his home so he gave it to my buddy. We have no clue as to what year, model etc. I can tell you its a kohler twin, hydro. I snapped a pic of the plate under the steering wheel area. model number is 1 0611 and the last number is a 9 or a g. Not sure. serial number is 48384 What is this beauty / beast? I was crazy over it when I saw it. Glenn eventually, I MUST OWN ONE. LOL

312Hydro 474 #13 Posted January 17, 2014 Hope that it's snowing and have her see you plowing the drive with it. Who could say no to a nice tractor like that!
Ken B 3,189 #14 Posted January 17, 2014 Go get one Glenn!!! As soon as I can figure how to explain it to the mrs. Any tips or pointers? Glenn Lots of way to explain it to the Mrs. One rule lots of guys live by, its better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission. (personally speaking, I skip both) Just tell her you are having some good clean fun. My personal advice is to keep things neat and try to spread the tractors out a little so she can't count them...Know your limits.. My wife KNOWS that I can find much bigger things to get into trouble with besides messing with little Wheel Horse's so I get very little heat from her...One thing we both agree on is that there won't be tractors scattered all over the yard..
Wheel-N-It 2,976 #15 Posted January 17, 2014 Ken and I must be operating out of the same rule book. Do al the above and just be cool. And if that dont work just tell her you are keeping it for me till I pick it up this Summer. Then when she notices I never picked it up tell her I sold it to Ken and you are holding it for him till he comes to pick it up. Then tell her how much we appreciate you working with us, and tell her how great the guys are on Red Square, and how much we wish we had a good woman at home like her.
wheeledhorseman 579 #16 Posted January 17, 2014 Go get one Glenn!!! As soon as I can figure how to explain it to the mrs. Any tips or pointers? Glenn Endless possible lines come to mind: 'We found another in the woods and I've been given this one.' or 'It was the only size they had in stock and I'm getting so much more for my money' or perhaps 'Haven't you always told me to think big!' Seriously Glenn, that tractor's got D owners and D owner wannabes droolin'. Andy
JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #17 Posted January 18, 2014 Andy / wheedhorseman, I get your point as when I saw it I confirmed my D wanna b status. Cant wait to tell my friend all you guys think its nice. He will enjoy hearing the compliment. Next time I get over there I will get a pic or 2 of the back. It sure would be a nice addition to any stable. meadowfield 2,754 #19 Posted January 18, 2014 Jeez, some guys have all the luck... Add me to the wannabe D owner list though I'd have to move two smaller ones out at the moment in order to make space.
