formariz 12,040 #1 Posted January 12, 2014 Since the weights are usually found free around here, and I did not want to pay the $80.00 for a special bracket available on eBay I came up with my own design made up from strut brackets easily available at Home Depot for about $10.00 per wheel. It also works out that these are easily removable in order to remove wheel since one can remove it from front.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,105 #2 Posted January 12, 2014 Looks like it would work well. My only complaint would be how far out they will protrude from the rim. Mike.........
varosd 1,185 #3 Posted January 12, 2014 Formariz, Can post some pictures of the back side of the bracket? Can you adjust the threaded rod portion so if you only have 1 plate on it won't stick out like a chariot from Ben Hur?
formariz 12,040 #4 Posted January 12, 2014 right now it has 2 25lbs weights on it. bracket can be adjusted so if you have smaller weights they fit inside of wheel.Bracket can me made to go another 2 inches into wheel. threaded rod will of course be cut once one decides how many weights to keep on it.
