MalMac 1,332 #1 Posted January 7, 2014 I know we all like seat time but I was trying to dig out of Mother Natures lastes fit. Was blowing down some drifts and just trying to get from are barn to the drive so we can get cars out. Even with a cab it was no fun. Just too darn cold. Only good thing was if you blew with the wind you could remove a drift to the next state. I dread going back out this morning. Just no fun this time around for me. Wheel Horse Kid 105 #3 Posted January 7, 2014 Yep, never fun when it super cold out, unless you put some kind of heater in your cab or have LOTS of clothes!
AMC RULES 37,196 #4 Posted January 7, 2014 Well, it could be worse... at least you're not fightin' it with one of the green, or yellow ones.

dclarke 4,082 #6 Posted January 8, 2014 I was out on my 857 a few times yesterday and I have to agree with you Tim, it was just too cold to stay out for any length of time. That sure takes most of the fun out of it.
Hydro 131 #7 Posted January 8, 2014 I've got to have 30 hours of seat time this winter so far. The last few days have been crazy with the wind, snow fall and the drifting. I have to say the single stage I am using has been doing a great job. I need the extra height I can lift it because of the drifts are well over top of it. We have been getting very strong SE winds here so I can only blow going down my driveway anything else is a disaster but like MalMac says the wind will carry it a long way.

I can tell you that the older I get, the less and less I like the cold and the more I can understand someone moving further South! The flip side of warm weather is more seat time mowing grass, maybe a sun shade is more comfortable than a icy cold snow cab - LOL.
motox25 36 #10 Posted January 8, 2014 Here in OK we don't have enough snow to justify buying a snow blower so I get no seat time from December to around mid march.
