never herd of a 605 :banghead: a 604 maybe. the serial #'s are located on the left on the side under the dash area or under the dash in the center. they wont tell ya much. the numbers on the side of the belt guard are the model #'s for the early 60's short frame tractors. but i have seen a tag with the model numbers under the dash on like a 1966 656 & 856 etc.....

Perry, there is a 605, just like a 606 and a 607... they were the cheaper versions of the 655, 656 and 657 with only recoil start engines.

Rod... before anyone could say anything about value... there would have to be pictures and descriptions of it's condition.... otherwise... it's worth scrap price, 10-12

I have a WH which has been painted over (not a restoration). I found the data plate under the dash panel. The transmission has a high/low range, which makes it an 8 speed. It has no engine or attachments. The markings as I can best tell are:

1 605T

695278

The research I have done indicates the 605 was only a 4 speed. I wonder if the T indicates an 8 speed transmission.

Does anyone know?

TT

Perhaps it's 1-6051 ~ which is a 1970 Raider 10 six-speed.

Thanks. I also noted that the dash looks similar to a dash from a 857.
