Five Hole Sector?

Recommended Posts

AMC RULES

Getting ready to set up a plow on the new C-175 I just brought home.

Discovered I had this NOS, 5 hole sector on hand..

Wondering, can I just swap this one with the original 3 hole, with no further modifications/parts needed?

No it can't be swapped.  Just send it to me to dispose of. :ychain:

Yep...direct swap-over.  I just did this on my C-160 with a 48" plow and it works much better than the 3-position knuckle.

Better in what way...more range to angle the plow?

Can two more holes be drilled in the three hole sectors, or are they too close together ?

That's the first thing I looked at when holding them up together...   :handgestures-thumbsup:

looks to me like there's plenty of room for two more holes in my original sector.

So...I made the switch over to the five holer today, and finally got my plow mounted up.

Just in time because the Weather man is suggesting a "significant snow event" may be coming in Thurs of this week..should have just enough time to put the vinyl back in place on my 520's cab too...

then I'll have my two biggest  :wh: 's on stand by, at the ready to tag team it...if need be.    :handgestures-salute:

Trust me Mike...this is an old school asphalt job here...wafer thin at best.

It'll be interesting to see if it even survives one season of the plow or not.

I thought this came up before and the folks said the holes would be too close to the current holes.....Personally I haven't checked, but a little more angle would help me some!

I think it could be done.   :confusion-shrug:

The spacing between the holes might not be perfect...

but you would gain a bit more blade articulation than you have now.
