chevyaddict83 39 #1 Posted December 22, 2013 I have two horses in question. A 75 c-120 and year unknown blackhood. The blackhood has the hydro lift, the c120 does not. My question/thought. Can I swap the hood and dashtower from the 120 to the blackhood? The hood and dash on the blackhood are shot and the motor runs, but leaks oil like Valdez spill. I want the hydro lift, because that rototiller gets pretty damn heavy. Thoughts? Ideas? Parts blackhood donations lol?
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted December 22, 2013 How about installing a lift assist spring on the tiller?
chevyaddict83 39 #3 Posted December 22, 2013 How about installing a lift assist spring on the tiller? That would be too Damon easy, lol. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk I want it for the plow too. Down pressure. I just don't feel like tearing the Blackwood for full restoration..... but I should. TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #4 Posted December 22, 2013 You could use a WorkHorse GT or 300/400 series hoodstand (and hood) on the third gen C series too. They're usually easier to find. The first gen hoodstand swap would require a lot of extra work.
Callen 64 #5 Posted December 22, 2013 Terry, will the dash and adapter plate from a c121 bolt on top of the blackhood hoodstand?
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #6 Posted December 22, 2013 Unless there's some weird exception I don't know about - yes.
