dodgemike 52 #2 Posted December 22, 2013 I have two pictures in the dozers And blowers section. Sorry, can't For the life of me figure out how To move them here. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk
over60pirate 24 #3 Posted December 24, 2013 I made front & rear winch mounts for my WH. By pulling 1 pin, I pivot the winch mount forward, so I can raise the hood. The picture was taken, before I bolted an eye bolt at the top, for a pulley. Works great. In the rear I use it to raise a tine dethatcher, I use to collect pine cones and needles.

Ed Kennell 42,063 #5 Posted December 26, 2013 Here's my four wheeler with winch lifted Wheel Horse plow with automatic pin puller for blade angle. One caution on using a winch....the in line springs are required ...as the winch overrun did ,I mean will break something. I use old garage springs to make mine. The plow is raised till the white tube hits the frame and rotates the cam, pulling the pin.
dodgemike 52 #6 Posted December 26, 2013 That is an ingenius setup! Well Thought out. In "the old days" Where the lift hook hit the upper Sheaves we called that two blocking. The only prevention was A good operator. You can imagine The carnage if you were not paying Attention! Usually an invitation Back to the union hall followed. Modern cranes are so advanced They can almost run themselves. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk

Ed Kennell 42,063 #9 Posted December 28, 2013 That is an ingenius setup! Well Thought out. Modern cranes are so advanced They can almost run themselves. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk 2 for the comment Mike. Modern cranes are much safer, but still not IDIOT proof. In my 45 years in the hydro turbine industry, I've seen some nasty "accidents" and a lot of near misses. We routinely lifted, turned, and transported 150 ton turbines. Some of the turning lifts got real intense with a one million dollar 150 ton Grand Coulee or Hoover Dam turbine on the hook.
Ed Kennell 42,063 #10 Posted December 29, 2013 Harbor Freight has a 2500 lb remote control winch for $49.99 on sale till the end of Jan. It looks like the one I have on my 4 wheeler. I think I'll buy another one and make a lift for the SS blower on the C-120. I like the remote control.... Less wires..and the control is so small, I have mine fastened to the handle bar under where I can operate It with my thumb. Could very easily be fastened to the spoke of a WH steering wheel. over60pirate 24 #11 Posted December 30, 2013 Have since, mounted a pulley on the winch mount post, and attach the winch hook, closer to the plow, for easier lift. Winch removes with 2 pins to move to rear of tractor. Removing 1 pin, allows the mount to pivot, to allow the hood to open. Has worked good for a few years now. If doing again, I would make the plow mounting pin, larger than the 1/2" one I used.
