56flatbed 29 #1 Posted December 17, 2013 My 79 C141's engine took a vacation yesterday. I am looking for options at this time, however I will keep the K321 for another time. I found a K341 on CL, have no idea what it is out of. I am curious if anyone may have an idea if it would work in my tractor. It does have PTO shafts on both ends. Appreciate any ideas, Wally
baerpath 517 #2 Posted December 17, 2013 Maybe but without some idea of what engine you looking at how can we tell. The shaft on the flywheel probobly just unbolts. You need to find out what oil pan it has.
Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted December 17, 2013 there are a few things that will need to be known, style of block/oil pan, and crank size ?? the add on PTO shaft as Duane said will unbolt, the big oil pan block will fit in the place of your small pan block, but you will need to swap a few things to do it, even if it has a 1" crank instead on the 1 1/8" like a WH that can be fixed with stock parts, where in lower MI are you I have a few engines here that will be a direct fit, or I have all the parts needed to do the swap, I'm in MI 49076 One thing if your tractor is a hydro and the engine your looking at has a 1" crank the correct drive pulley is hard to find and not cheap when you do find one, if you have a stick shift the pulley is a common one. 56flatbed 29 #4 Posted December 17, 2013 This is my second shot at replying, computer dumped just before I posted. Appreciate the info, I am aware of some of the complications on engine swaps from reading this forum. Now I know that engine might have worked. I wasn't able to find it on CL today. Anyway, Kelly, I live about 16 miles north of Battle Creek off of North Ave. I see you're in Olivet, not far at all. So, what have you got? Cheap.. cheap,,cheap Wally
Kelly 1,033 #5 Posted December 17, 2013 Good running engines are not cheap, but I can set you up for around $200 maybe a little less or more depends on what you want ?? send me a PM, and ya I'm only about 20 miles from you, I have about 100 tractors here so I'm sure I have something for you.
