C100 0 #1 Posted December 15, 2013 After pushing some heavy slush around I developed a clutch throw problem. (the belt was slipping and the clutch peddle was moving forward much more than it should) Fortunately, I finished the driveway and found that the Pin Spirol, P/N 933190 had broken in half so the linkage had moved on the shaft. I have driven the pin out and hopefully will be able to get one at a local Toro dealer. If I cannot, could someone suggest a substitute?? I think I will change the clutch belt at the same time.(7473) I was reading that these are prone to stretching. Is there a better brand or a higher quality substitute?? Thank you for any help. sorekiwi 761 #2 Posted December 15, 2013 You should be able to pick up one of those roll-pins from a good hardware store. The IPL lists it as 3/16 x 1 1/4". A lot of guys swear by the genuine Toro belts. I have also used Gates belts and think they work well. I have Dayco's on a few of my tractors and don't think they are as long lasting as the Gates or Toro, but they are easy for me to get locally.
C100 0 #3 Posted December 20, 2013 I used a nut and bolt for now. That roll pin is a pin inside a pin. I am going to put a parts list together and order the exact replacement, hoping it will be the pin inside the pin. Thank you for the response.
Tankman 3,523 #4 Posted December 20, 2013 I too have used a lot of Gates belts, available locally, and not expensive.
