dewdew 10 #1 Posted December 15, 2013 This is my only tractor that is running at the moment. But it's leaking oil down the shaft that raises and lowers my blower/ mower. What do you guys think about useing a Lucas stop leak as a way to hopefully get me through the winter?
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted December 15, 2013 Please don't add anything to your hydro oil. Besides not fixing the leak on your lift, you may cause major damage to your transmission. You'll need to pull that cylinder and get it fixed. It could also be a hose leaking but regardless, an additive won't fix it and you stand to destroy your transmission. pfrederi 18,682 #3 Posted December 16, 2013 Agree with Boovac 110%. Snake oil may cause more issues than it solves. Just check and add fluid as needed then when the weather improves rebuild the cylinder...It is not hard to do. (Or take it to a hydro place)
