RMCIII 838 #1 Posted December 15, 2013 So we got the first decent snow today... I am extremely impressed with the distance this thing puts the snow out there. It's all of 30' plus.... What a great distance... But here is the not so happy part. I just put brand new bearings on this thing this fall. Unless I am mistaken, I will need to replace them, before this season is over. It really vibrates something fierce when it get's under load. I felt the shaft after 5 hrs. of blowing snow. The shaft was extremely "hot"/// I don't think that is normal.... Any suggestions would be outstanding... Rob
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,493 #2 Posted December 15, 2013 Sounds like the shaft is turning inside the bearings. Do they have lock rings or set screws in the inner race? Garry
RMCIII 838 #3 Posted December 15, 2013 No they don't.
Tim 97 #4 Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) are you talking about the auger or the shaft on top of the blower? is the auger bent? that is usually what causes vibration Edited December 15, 2013 by Tim
