mattre69 0 #1 Posted December 14, 2013 Anyone ever had the wire from the points to the coil break inside the points box? My GT-14 started backfiring and finally died. I took the spark plug out and found I had no spark. I've never put points in it, so I figured I'd start there. As soon as I took the cover off I found the wire had broke where the crimp on terminal goes on. The points still look new. It's back in action pushing snow last night. WH nut 553 #2 Posted December 15, 2013 Sure its pretty common as wires get old and brittle.
