What size cable to lift the sleeve hitch?

Recommended Posts

So I am putting my 416 on hold a minute... problem is I was going to have the rear scrape on the 416 and keep the johnny bucket on the 312. Well, now I need to use the hitch on the 312 because I kinda need the scrape now. At least this weekend. What sized cable should I use? I got 1/8 inch cable today but started thinking when I got home that maybe I shoulda got bigger. The 1/8 has the strength but will the lack of size be a problem?

Any thoughts?

Another thing, does the same cable extend freedom the lift to the hitch? Or is the cable supposed to link to a chain?

Also, there is a screw knob on the left side of the "dash" right above the lift lever is. Are they related? Thanks
