RJR49 138 #27 Posted December 24, 2013 I agree that a 12 HP Kohler will mow on a hill, but it will not do it as well or fast as a 16 HP. Using the same deck on both I had to mow much slower in tall grass with the 12 HP
Jrblanke 918 #28 Posted December 24, 2013 Glenn, I think in your case, you have one of the most user friendly tractors that is in excellent condition. You wouldn't have any reason to sell unless you found something better. Even then, I think you would probably find a place to store the tractor rather than get rid of it. I have been....involved.....(I don't want to admit that I have another hobby) in wheel horses for about 7 months now and I have bought 4 tractors and sold 1 of them, and I will probably sell 1 more and bring my total number down to 2. I bought a C100, then a 314-8, then a 312-8, and then yesterday bought an 876. I have sold the 312-8 and will probably sell the C100. My reason for selling the 312-8 was simply because I purchased it in order to get the deck from it. The tractor was cheap enough that I could keep the deck and break even when I sold the tractor. My reason for selling the C100 is because I don't need 2 manual transmission tractors because the only thing I use them for is mowing, and I might do a little grading once I find a grader blade. So I will sell the C100 to pay for the hydro I just purchased.
