ih674 10 #1 Posted December 1, 2013 Im just doing the bottom oil seal in my wheel horse sickle gearbox, im having trouble finding a replacement. Does anyone know if this is still availible anywhere? It is so thin that and seal with the correct ID has a bigger OD, so the casing would need to be machined which id rather not have to do. The shaft diameter is1 1/4" and the OD is 1 1/5. The part number is 1482. Maybe this is the same size as other WH seals still availible??? Thanks, James Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

ih674 10 #4 Posted December 1, 2013 The other seal in there just happens to be the same as the uni drive half shaft and brake seals. These appear hard to find in the UK but one person who used to sell seals and has now shut down had a stock of 8 so i bought them all. This is enough seals to do the sickle and both my tractors should they ever leak. Best of all they only cost me £10. Just ordered the 1482 seal as well thats coming from US though.
