Ive been looking at these johnny bucket jrs for a while now. I think id be really happy with one for the capabilities to move dirt stone mulch etc. Does anyone here have one to share some thoughts on them? they are pricey but are they well built and they only come with a 1 year warranty does the lift hold up to the test. i am wondering here i am thinking maybe getting one come spring. let me know thanks

I had one with the electric actuator for a few years. They're very well built. It was handy to have around and I used it a lot. But when I bought my first front end loader it just sat in the corner so I sold it. They're handy, but not nearly as versatile as a loader, but if you only have one tractor, the johnny bucket is the way to go, much faster to install and remove than a loader.

I have one and it does a good job for a light duty attachment (rated for 200 lb. lift capacity.) Initially I just used it for moving mulch on my 312A  but this summer it went on my 520-H and I bought the toothbar attachment which now allows me to dig with it. Limitations are not being able to raise it very high like a FEL for dumping.

One good use I have found is to use it with my MacKissic Chipper. I drag it out with the tractor and place the bucket under the discharge. That saves me from having to shovel the chips as I can just drive to where I need to place them.

yeah i didnt think id be able to pick alot of weight up with it. but just to be able to pic a small load of dirt up and move it place to place is alot easier than pushing it. i may end up getting one this spring

Actually I limited my use of it to mulch because of the 312A. It was used when I bought it, six months old and still shiny. The PO had the bucket doubler and 2X Turbo actuator as options. I got a really good deal as I paid less than brand new for it and the tractor with 48" deck.

With the 520-H, I USE IT for all kinds of landscaping materials. The Caddy Arms are handy moving long items plus trash cans as I have added D-Rings across the top. It is really useful around my property.
