47JDG 65 #1 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) This tractor a long with a few implements that I picked up over the summer have been an ongoing "something for nothing" project of mine. The little commando runs great and did a lot of work around here over the summer. I have enjoyed having it around. I decided to mount up a $20 blower that I picked up and see how good I could get this thing to work for blowing snow this winter. The blower has had a lot of mods done to it. It is for an older tractor but has been adapted to the newer quick tach setup like a C series - newer, and my commando has. It has various other mods too. Some are well done, and some from Bubba himself. I have been tinkering with it here and there and got it to the point that I thought it would work smoothly. I mounted it up to the little commando and sure enough it sounds quite and seems like it will work fine. I made a flag (pictures) to go with the lift bar and spring that came with the blower. I still need to build a weight box to mount on the rear. I am looking forward to playing in the snow with it. I think it should work pretty good for reasonable accumulations (its an 8hp 4 speed, I don't expect it to perform like a 520). The first pass will be slow going, but I can take small bites from then on. I have larger machines I can use if the snow gets real serious. I will try and take a video of this in action this winter (Why not, right?), as I have noticed there isn't many videos of Commandos doing serious work. Sparky-(Admin) 23,169 #3 Posted November 26, 2013 Is that a snow shovel handle to turn the chute? No matter what it looks like it should be fine for snow-duty! Mike.........
