reecie 3 #1 Posted November 22, 2013 I have found an engine (P216) and I am wondering if it would be a pretty straight forward bolt on to mine D160 which has the BF? I understand the BF was a bit of an odd ball that Wheel Horse only used on the D160 for a few years. Any direction would be appreciated. I'd like to know which direction I can go: Rebuild the BF that's on mine or buy the P216.
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted November 22, 2013 I'm not sure the shaft lengths on the BF verses the P series Onans used by WH were the same. I do think there was an old post on the old website that highlighted a difference in where the shaft height was different between the two. I also know a gentleman that moved a P series Onan to his old Sears Garden tractor and ran into some walls during the conversion and I know the BF was in that tractor so I don't think it is a drop in solution.
