I decided i would branch form GTTalk and join here as well...

I am looking to get a B80 with a snow blade, and im wondering if its worth $200.

its in great shape, but needs solenoid and regulator. It smokes a tiny bit on startup but it dont bother me...

Thoughts?

these are the only pics i have as of now... i will try to get more later.

Looks to be in pretty good shape.  Even if you have to buy a regulator and solenoid I think its a good deal at $200.

Make sure you don't let the oil level get too low, it'll kill that little Kohler.

The B80 is an awesome little tractor for pushing snow

It runs, but it smokes a little on startup. Its only 30 min away from home.

Anyone know what to look for when buying these? anything to specificly check?

Anyone got some info in general on this?

sorry for the questions, im converting from cub to horse... :greetings-clappingyellow: :greetings-clappingyellow:

With the blade included I think that $200 is a pretty good price.  That paint looks like it will clean up nicely.  Must have been stored covered as it isn't faded much at all.

If this is the same tractor then my main concern would be where he said it "smoked like a freight train" in the link below BUT that may have been oil and carbon burning off from sitting.  The snow blade alone is worth at $100-$125 usually.

Be sure to ask for any Wheel Horse parts and paperwork that may come with it (manuals are free downloads here).

It does look like the snow blade attachment bracket is in place under the rear axle, that's good (saves you $40-50).

Ask for attachments and deck.    The PTO lever must be in the up position to start.

:WRS: , I have a 1975 B-80 and have been using it for plowing (gardens) this year.

Since I have the chains on and fluid in the tires, I will use it as a back-up snow plowing tractor this winter.

Looks like parts of the PTO are missing. I think the only thing holding it on is the PTO brake. You'll need some parts if you decide to use any PTO powered attachments (deck, tiller...etc...)

LOL, yep you are new to Wheel Horses! $200 is a very fair price for that one with the blade included. The charging problem may not be the regulator. It could easily be the ignition switch.
