Two Stage Snowblower Oil Seals

Hi Everyone, I've got a 1990 two stage snow blower. I think it's a Bertek that goes on a 520-8. I noticed the oil seals on both left and right shafts have been leaking quite a bit. I bought the seals, but when I tried to take it apart today, I was stopped at taking out the shaft that goes back to the fan. I just couldn't get it. Disconnecting everything else was easy, but I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if you have any advice to help me get the job done.

Hi I believe it's the second one. I've looked to see how it comes apart, but still can't figure out how to remove the whole gear box and get the shafts out so I can replace the oil seal. Have you done this?

No have not done it. Looks like the shaft the augers are on should slide out the end. Just a Woodruff key in the gearbox.

Just noticed one of those manuals is missing pages.
