AMC RULES 37,196 #2 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) Facing the left side of the engine, down low on the bottom right corner...directly behind your brake pedal...you should be able to see the bottom of your filter sticking out. Should be enough room to reach in there and get the filter out...might need a filter wrench, or punch a long screw driver through it to get it to turn it though. shorts 182 #3 Posted November 4, 2013 Someone, maybe KD tools used to make a cup type filter wrench that fit over the end of the filters that worked good. Try your local auto parts and have them look in their specialty tool catalog, if that doesn't work look online for a SnapOn catalog or dealer. Tip, try to break the filter loose by hand while the engine is running, the oil pressure on the gasket from the inside will help to loosen the oring seal
squonk 43,843 #4 Posted November 4, 2013 Go Napa and get an longer OEM eq. Filter and they should be able to give you a cup wrench the right size.
