BairleaFarm 340 #1 Posted August 29, 2008 Ive notice a weird rattle and I suspect the bendix was dragging. Its extremely loose now. Now that I think about it this tractor did make alot of noise when you started it. What could be the cause? the starter is fairly new and the bolts seemed tight when I pulled it? Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted August 29, 2008 The teeth look very worn, I've had to shim a couple of starters to make the mesh right, I used chevy starter shims cut down the work nice and come in many thicknesses. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
