Hello all,

Does anybody know if there is any of these left, I'm over here in the UK, how do I go about getting one, there is somone selling them on ebay it says they have 5 available, however it says item doesn't ship to the United Kingdom, I have sent them a message.. And on the Wheelhorsestory.com when I add it to the shopping cart, I can't pay as it won't let me select country as UK, only USA, I really want one of theses if there is any left, so the question is, how?

Many thanks

Mark, how did you manage to purchase one off the site, when I try to purchase one it wants me to set up an account which I do, however it then wants my address, and state and country and I can't select uk, only United States? Like this,

Look up straight from the horses mouth final edition, we ordered direct but he might have changed things temporarily for uk members.

There was a whole thread on it, as Neil says if all fails then email Michael.

I'll send a note to Michael pointing him to this post.  The reason for the website not allowing international sales is because there isn't any valid shipping module which would calculate accurate costs for the shipping.  There was a fixed rate, but it's my understanding that ws insufficient and he was losing money on sending.

I don't think that he's opposed to sending, just to be able to get the proper shipping costs.

Like Karl says , i dont thnk that the current offer of free shipping during the month of October 2013 would apply to international buyers of the book as it would cost Michael too much for the shipping costs .

Karl, it says not to PM you so I guess I won't, :) but I can't seem to find a contact address for Michael, the only way I can contact him at the moment is through ebay, however we have been talking and come to the agreement he will send me an invoice if I give him my email address,.. However ebay messages won't let you send the message if it includes an email address, so I have no way of giving him my email address so he can send an invoice,

It's basically a history and reference book.  The author sought out Mr. Pond (the co-founder of Wheel Horse with his father) and was able to interview him and learn a lot of historical details before he passed away.  The book details the history of the Ponds, how they came to start Wheel Horse and what grew it into the successful company it was.  There's also a fair amount of details about some of the earlier models.

As was stated, the author is also a member here.  Anyone can find him in this thread from earlier this summer
