buckhornbob 13 #1 Posted October 21, 2013 Still new the Wheel Horse and this forum and I need some help/advice. My mechanical friend is working on my recently purchased 1999 522xi and is trying to tighten up the loose steering. He asked me to find out if there is a replaceable bushing for the end of the power steering cylinder where the "94-7976 SCREW-HH" goes through. I can't see anything in the parts manual but he says there is about a quarter turn of play at that point. Could it just be wear on the "94-7976 SCREW-HH" or is there something else I should look for? Thanks Bob
Rick_in_CT 156 #2 Posted October 23, 2013 Bob, as you stated the documentation does not show a serviceable bushing, not to say that there may not be one on the cylinder. I checked the service manual, nothing there either. Looks like you are on a search and destroy mission. Let us know what you find. Rick
