leeave96 490 #1 Posted October 19, 2013 Went out today to pick-up some parts tractors and filled my trailer with this: Tractor is a 520H and with a little help from the forum, I found it to be a 1991 year make. Sheet metal is very good, slight misfit on the left side where the hood comes down to the dash, otherwise just weathered. Here is a pic of the tractor. The deck is another story. I will take it apart and salvage what remains for spare parts. I put some fresh gas in the tractor and with the help of a bit of starting fluid, the engine fired right up. I drove the tractor off the trailer and around the yard a bit. Engine vibrates a lot, but no hesitation. I think it's running on one cylinder. Part of the reason I viewed this tractor as a parts tractor was that I was going to use the engine on another Wheelhorse, but between the overall condition of the tractor and the possible need for a repower, I think I'll keep it intact for now and repower it. Momma ain't going to be happy with another tractor in the fleet, so I'll likely move out another color tractor I have next spring to make room for it. Thanks! JackC 617 #2 Posted October 19, 2013 Nice score. It should clean right up. The seat looks to be in great condition. The possible one cylinder issue could be a bad connection somewhere.
953 nut 60,086 #3 Posted October 19, 2013 Two new plugs and a little Seafoam in the gas may make it run like new!
Dieselcowboy 210 #4 Posted October 20, 2013 I had one run on 1 cyl. Check the intake manifold gaskets if all else fails.
