kj4kicks 154 #1 Posted August 27, 2008 Here's the '97 314 that Karl was baby-sitting for me. Brought it home last week, but didn't have time to play with it until yesterday. This one has 96 actual hours on it, and had never had an attachment installed on it. It was used strictly to pull a lawn cart. The PTO was cherry, since it never had a belt on it. I couldn't stand to be the first, so I put a nearly new used one on it. Also found a '97 48" SD deck for it. Added a set of Gator blades and new gauge wheels, then went mowing. Works like a charm ! 92Pony 1 #10 Posted August 28, 2008 She's a beaut Eldon!! But I have to ask (and I bring this up because my 520 is the same way), has it lost a headlight bezel already? What is it with those things?. Congrats!! Wade
Sparky-(Admin) 23,158 #11 Posted August 28, 2008 She's a beaut Eldon!! But I have to ask (and I bring this up because my 520 is the same way), has it lost a headlight bezel already? What is it with those things?. Congrats!! Wade My neighbor and I were just talkin about that and this is what we think. The one closest to the muffler gets warm and since its just thin plastic it changes shape or "sags'". Then it falls out and gets chopped into a thousand pieces by the mower deck . Mystery solved Mike............
Sparky-(Admin) 23,158 #12 Posted August 28, 2008 And by the way Eldon, real sweet lookin tractor . Mike...........
Duff 206 #13 Posted August 29, 2008 Eldon - If the headlight bezel for an '89 312-8 will fit your machine, I accidentally double-ordered two sets when I was restoring my tractor last winter. Be happy to send you one N/C if you think it will fit? PM me your address if you want it. Best, Duff
bowtieguy 334 #14 Posted August 29, 2008 Hey Eldon....nice tractor...and I'm staking my claim FIRST......if I ever make it to the big show in PA again, I want a free ride in da big parade ..on this one! But the 08 show was my last one so guess I'll just have to have my own parade on my pair of 417-A's..... Am still kickin' but just not kickin'n as hard as I was....now just don't ask me anything about my secluded find of an 18 wheeler full of round nosed WHEEL HORSES....I'd tell you where it is parked but I might have ta shoot ya! :banghead:
kj4kicks 154 #15 Posted August 29, 2008 Thanks for the comps guys ! The headlight with the missing bezel is burnt out, and I suspect the PO lost it while trying to change the bulb Frank, if that's what it takes to get you to the show again, the answer is YES ! It was great meeting you there, and I hope you can make it there again. Duff, PM sent for the offer !
