New To Wheelhorse and 520Xi

Recommended Posts

Usmc1968

Hello,

About a year ago I purchased a used 2000 Wheelhorse 520Xi with 60" deck and 800hrs on it. Great machine, and HEAVY!!! My question is how does it compare to a Kubota g1800 Diesel Garden tractor? I have the opportunity to get one that has 168hrs, yes 168hrs for $4500. My other question is where the heck could I find a front blade/snow/dirt for the 520? That is one reason why I am thinking of selling it.

Thanks!

Just my :twocents-twocents: . Unless it is coming with several attachments, you really are not gaining much on that Kubota. It's not a SCUT. You can rig your xi with a rear clevis hitch that will make your tractor a working machine. Now, if it were a JD 420, 430, 455, then I would say look into it. But that is just my opinion.

Welcome to RS! I have a 522xi with a loader and 1100 hours. Mine has been well used and appears to have plenty of life in it. And the price was right!

Ive seen the kubota garden tractors and personally I don't believe they're built as well as the Xi. Blades do come up from time to time. Try a toro dealer there may be one lying in a warehouse.

BX, B, L kubota tractors are real tractors not to be confused with the GT. For $4500 I'd step up to a lightly used BX.

Thank you very much!! You guys are awesome. I will check out the links,

I do have a B7800 with 315hrs and a new FEL (1yr old) but do not use it much so I wanted to get a blade for the 520xi and sell/trade the B7800.

thanks!!

B7800, as you know, is in a completely different class than the xi or the g1800. That is a SCUT. You should be able to find a blower for that.

Thanks. Yeah but I do not want to spend boku $$ on the blower. Just moved back here from Texas (I know bummer) and wondering how much of a pain it would be to "plow" snow with a FEL with a 60" bucket.
