SpillerMiller 10 #1 Posted October 9, 2013 Hi. My names miller and due to the fact I cannot find any way to post a new topic, I'm going to piggy back on this one. I hope no one is offended. I grew up driving my dads wheel horse and finally I just bought one of my own. I don't know much about it other then its a C-160 automatic with hydro drive. I bought it from an old farmer who also gave me a 6 6211 snow blower. I took the mower deck off of it and I've been staring at it for a whole day trying to find any way to attach said snow blower to the tractor. I'm almost certain it was not made to fit a C-160 but I don't know if there's any modifications I can make to the mounting brackets so it can mount to the tractor and use the hydraulic lift for the deck to raise and lower the snow blower. Any and all suggestions and/or advice is greatly appreciated. Have a good day and Wheel on Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk now Free
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,492 #2 Posted October 9, 2013 Here is ithe snowthrower sold in 1974 for the C-160 Previous models came in 2 packages - the basic unit and a completeing kit specific to the tractor model. 6-6212 is a 1970-1973 basic unit requiring completeing kit 6-9113 to fit the 1973-1974 C-Series models. 6-6211 is a 1969 basic unit that would likely work with the same 6-9113 kit. 6-6211 Basic unit 6-6212 Basic unit 6-9113 completeing package Garry
CasualObserver 3,411 #3 Posted October 9, 2013 Welcome SpillerMiller. I've split your topic off on it's own. In order to post new topics from Tapatalk, you have to be in the "Browse" section, which is like the forum main page on the computer. Then you open the forum you want, then the sub-forum. On mine, there is a pencil icon on the top, and you use that to compose a new post. (yours may differs slightly depending on android/iphone or tapatalk version) Hope that helps! I see Garry's already provided you the tech data. Look around, and post a wanted ad for anything you need. There are some used parts vendors who have some pretty good inventory supplies! oh... and just FYI... your funny location of "garage" isn't helpful. I'm not suggesting your address, but rather a city, state or even general region. That item is there so other members who might be local to you can help you out with questions...like showing you how to mount your snow thrower or trade you for a correct one! SpillerMiller 10 #6 Posted October 9, 2013 Thank you for the advice so far.Ok. I got it hooked up. I didn't realize the bracket for the tensioner pullers that run the mower deck is detachable. The blower spins and every thing seems to move good and the way it should. But I must be missing the rod or bar that connects to the hydro lift... any suggestions where I can get one or is it something I can fab up myself. Note: I cannot open links for some reason on my android and I do not have a computer. Thanks again everyone. So far everything has been helpful and greatly appreciated Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk now Free
Irv 115 #7 Posted October 10, 2013 You need the lift tube (approx. 4 ft. long, 1 1/4 in. diam. with a flat part and hole on one end) and a "flag" for the end that attaches to the lift mechanism. Maybe someone can post a picture.

SpillerMiller 10 #11 Posted October 10, 2013 I'm planning on making it out of one piece of 1" round stock. Is there any reason I shouldn't..? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk now Free
SpillerMiller 10 #12 Posted October 20, 2013 Ok. I got the bar fabbed up and snowblower operating. Now my tractor doesn't want to start. I've put a new battery in it and it will roll over, but I only get two or three chances to start it. After that the battery acts dead, but a test shows it still has power. Its acting as though the starter doesn't have or isn't getting enough power to roll the motor. I believe the solenoid is still operating correctly. Also, if I can get the tractor running, it smokes pretty bad. Its not pouring smoke out, but it definitly smokes more then my fathers tractor. I've asked around and the general consensus is that I need a new head gasket. Any suggestions or advice to help with these issues or has anyone encountered the same problems and found a permanent fix to them? Again, thank you all very much and this site has been a huge help in my process to get the ol' girl running Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
