leaking carb

Recommended Posts

zanepetty

Hey again everyone. I've gotten SO much done on my tractor thanks to this site and most of all my new friend stevasaurus. What a great guy. Anyway my carb bowl is leaking around the bolt. I tried a small rubber washer but it stretched around the bolt. Should I try a bigger one?

More than likely the bowl has small hairline cracks in it around the bolt, the cracks are not really visible until you put pressure on it from tightening the bolts. You will need to just replace the bowl.

Oh OK I gotcha. So can I buy a bowl new or will I have to look on eBay?

OK. I called my Kohler dealer and they said that the kits were obsolete?

Sellers on ebay have lots of carb kits to offer at rather fair prices, just check the feedback before you buy.

I have a WH 300 series with a Kohler Magnum 10 engine and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the choke cable and linkage set so it will work. The numbers on the engine label  are worn off the, so I cannot give anyone that information. Does anyone have a picture or can you head me in the right direction.

My arm for the linkage assembly is set at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock if that helps. There seems to be several different linkage rods for this engine.

      Thanks

      Hey all!

Replacing the drive belt on my 252-h. Anyone know the torque specification for the center screw when I put this pto clutch back on? I know it was on there tight it took a minute for the impact to break it loose. Thanks!
