cheesegrader 433 #1 Posted October 2, 2013 I'm not sure what the rules are about these things, but on Craigslist in Wausau Wisconsin is a collection of 19 horses plus attachments for sale. I don't have the room, but it sure is fun to look and dream about them. I only recognize about half of them. Have to admit that the black hoods sure are good looking, but the one that really caught my eye was the 3/4/500 8-speed with what looks like a forward swept front axle. Possibly an elusive 520-8? ericj 1,579 #2 Posted October 2, 2013 the only tractor that i saw looked like a 414-8 because it has a vertical muffler like a k series motor and is a maroon stripe tractor with 8" front tires, could be a 416-8 with a kohler eric j
GlenPettit 1,717 #3 Posted October 2, 2013 Very nice, and I think well worth the price, averages about $500 each, plus there's attachments there too.
Tankman 3,523 #4 Posted October 2, 2013 (edited) That is quite a collection! Wow! Just took a peek-a-boo, sure the one Horse has the swept axle? Hard to tell. My '90 520-8 is a very comfy ride. I only use my Horses nowadays for wagons 'n grandkids, snow and mowing. I am sure the 520-8 could handle everything but, the hydraulic lift would be nice although I only use the Stallion for mowin' 'n wagons. Of course pushin' snow. 546cowboy 302 #5 Posted October 2, 2013 I tried to sell all of mine last year 20+ tractors with decks, blades, snow blowers and a bunch of parts too but no one showed any interest. Actually it turned out better that way as I have been refurbishing them and selling them off one at a time. I have sold 13 this year and still have 9 and plenty of parts. This is a lesson for everyone considering a Reverse Mortgage!!!!!!!!!!!! The reason I was trying to sell them was that I was my mothers full time care giver and just didn't have the time to work on them. My mother died last Friday night and now I may have to move from this place. She had a reverse mortgage on the property and if I wanted to keep the place I would have to come up with $92,000 on that loan she got 14 years ago. Let that be a lesson for anyone considering a reverse mortgage. They say you still own your home in those ads but it won't be long before they own it. boovuc 1,090 #9 Posted October 3, 2013 My condolences as well. I have heard about the pitfalls of a reverse mortgage and the biggest one was that if you planned your estate to go to your family, forget about the home being included.

Wheel-N-It 2,976 #11 Posted October 5, 2013 Lynn, I share the saddness with you in losing your Mom. My Mother died May16th of this year. Take deep breaths when you need to, and try to take some time for yourself also. It really helped me to attend the Big show this Summer with JayInNC. Maybe you can do something like that this Fall. Hang in there friend. Van
546cowboy 302 #12 Posted October 5, 2013 Thank you all for your messages of condolence. Unfortunately it leaves me in an awkward situation. Like everyone else I have collected way more than I can possibly move on short notice. I find myself overwhelmed at times but it will work out. But I'm afraid all my Horses will have to go and that really disappoints me the most.
