I do not see this cover/panel in the parts breakdown. I know it came off the tractor somewhere. But where? Anybody have a clue? Im bolting it back together and don't want to get to far if it needs to be tucked into the frame or upright dash part....................help?

Goes under the hoodstand and on the frame. Sandwiched in with angle forward and up.

What he said, if you look down in the bottom of the dash tower in front of the shifter, you will see a hole with out it.

Looks like it is not in the parts lists for 1965 and 1966 but found it in the 1967 857 parts list

im back and cant seem to upload any pictures right now but I don't think I have it in the right spot. the plate has four holes. they line up with four holes in the frame ,if the plate is put forward so the space right below where the gas tank would be filled. when installed like this I still have a huge hole in front of the shifter. so im guessing I need to move the plate back however it appears if I did that I would only use two front holes on the plate to secure as there aren't another set of holes in the seat pan to bolt it to although there are holes in the frame. the rear holes on the plate show no signs of having nuts/bolts on them as the fronts are surely do show those signs. any of this ramble make sense?

the front of the panel, will line up with the dash tower, kinda most are just close, then the 4 bolt go through it, yes there is a gap at the back, I'll try to remember to get a pic of one after work tonight.

Way down in the bottom, the bolts go thru the frame.

my tractor does not have four holes going through the pan but there are four holes in the frame. im guessing it was between the seat pan and frame and only had the front bolts in it since I simply cant get a bolt through the frame, panel and seat pan in the rear. I cant for the life of me figure out why photobucket wont allow me to copy a picture anymore or id show you guys what im talking about.
