Chat6155 3 #1 Posted September 29, 2013 I've looked around the forum but haven't found any difinitive answers, so hopeing for information from those much more knowledgeble than I... I have a 1990 312H and, for no other reason than momentary boredom, was wondering if the basic frame is specific to each model or did WH use that frame over a wide range of models. If so, would anyone know which other models would be the same?
Chat6155 3 #2 Posted September 29, 2013 Also, is the mounting of the Hydro trans vs the mounting of the 8 speed trans different to the frames? Thanks in advance of any info.
squonk 43,861 #3 Posted September 29, 2013 i think the frames are pretty much the same. I had a 520 and a C-160 frame here at the same time and they looked the same to me.
Kelly 1,033 #4 Posted September 29, 2013 basic frame is the same from 61 up, but that is about it, basic, yes there are years that interchange, I'm not going to try to cover them all, but say your 312 needs a frame you could go back to 1976 and get a frame, the first year they added the rear mounting bar to set the back of the footrest on, all the C's from then on will work as well as all 300, 400 and 500 series except the XI's all stick and hydro frames are the same, there are going to be a hole that is not needed r that needs to be added, but for the most part a bolt on swap.
