Marv 982 #1 Posted September 18, 2013 My memory fails me, need help. Re furbing my hood removed the hood latches. Started to reinstall them (time lapse) can't remember how the support brackets were installed. I mean how were they positioned on the hood originally? Would be very helpful if someone would take a picture of them mounted and post it. I think I will have to start taking pictures before romoving something from now on. pacer 3,177 #7 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) Was taking a few pics this morn and thought of your request on the hood latches - hope this is what you need. They are on my 1975 D-180, I recently done some painting on it and removed them for that, re-installed with pop rivets. The 2 sides will be installed in 'mirror' fashion, the pics are shown in the 'open' position on the right side of the hood. The inside is on the right side....back of the hood to the top....outside is the left side.....they both latch clockwise from whatever side you stand on...
