Patrick Reese 40 #1 Posted September 16, 2013 I'm about to dig in and take a Tecumseh HH 60 the rest of the way apart to rebuild it. I haven't had one of these apart since my teenage mini bike days back in the early 70's. One question I have is the bearing holder on the main shaft.. do you have to loosen the nuts on the outside leaving the bearing on the crankshaft or can you just open up and split the case with all of this in tact.. I just don't want to damage anything at this point.
illinilefttackle 399 #2 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) Patrick-do you have a manual? Its best to tear into these things with a manual by your side-I believe you can find one in the "MANUALS" section of this site for free down load-Good Luck-Al Edited September 16, 2013 by illinilefttackle
Patrick Reese 40 #3 Posted September 16, 2013 Thanks, never thought to look on site for a manual. I've taken them apart when I was young and was hoping it would all come back to me. I remember a good deal, but just wasn't sure of that bearing holder. Thanks, Pat
