Crown Vic P71 20 #1 Posted September 14, 2013 what do I use to connect the rod that turns the shoot to the shoot on my snowblower?
daveoman1966 3,841 #2 Posted September 14, 2013 The CHUTE is turned by a length of wire cable that can be had at hardware stores or tractor supply. It is thin cable...far less than 1/8" dia and with a close twist that makes it very flexible to wrap around the rod. Wrap it around the rod 2 or more times first, then route it tothe CHUTE.
timo4352 147 #3 Posted September 15, 2013 I just replaced mine. I'm pretty sure I still have the Toro part number. i'll check for it tomorrow and I can post the directions - or you should find them in the manuals section here. You could prob buy the cable cheaper in the hardware store, but it was still only something like 13 bucks from Toro. Check your blower number to make sure it's the same though.

timo4352 147 #5 Posted September 15, 2013 The Toro cable part number for my snowblower (model #0642st04) is: 104460 and it cost me $13.64 Scroll through the manuals section here to find the manual for your model. You should find one there. It has very specific instructions on how to install the cable. If it's not there let me know and I can post a copy.
