P3x 57 #1 Posted September 14, 2013 Been looking for a Zerk fitting that installs in the Steering Shaft Bearing Block. The PN in the Toro Catalog is 302-16 and listed as NLA. Have purchased several locally with different thread sizes thinking they'll fit and none fit. Can someone tell me the thread size? Been able to use an adapter to lubricate it but a fitting would be so much easier. One of those minor items that tend to nag at ya.... Thanks
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,493 #2 Posted September 14, 2013 Will guess it is a 45 degree with 1/4-28 thread. Let us know what you end up with. Garry
CTBT&D 77 #3 Posted September 14, 2013 If your talking about the one on the bottom, I have not taken that one out, but it looks like straight press fit zerk with a shoulder. If you don't find a press in fitting you can take the block off and tap it yourself. They make them with 1/16 NPT (tapered thread) and 1/4-28 NFT (straight thread). Either will thread in with no problems. Craig
