cruisnblue48 856 #1 Posted September 13, 2013 I am going to look at a 1979 C121 8-speed tomorrow ten minutes from my home. Offered first to me by a co-worker who just got it himself recently. He says it is in nice condition, original paint, very little rust, but may not have original seat. Attachments include a plow (assumed to be a front mounted blade) and a pull behind sweeper. Any ideas what this tractor might be worth in south central PA area. My area is loaded with WH's. I have six WH tractors, but I am afraid that I will have pick this one up if the price is right, you know what I mean.

Tankman 3,523 #3 Posted September 13, 2013 You gotta do what you gotta do. A typical WHA (Wheel Horse Addiction) symptom. Picking up a stray Horse (or two, or three, or more) is a way of life. The old Stallions need and love us.
Hodge71 665 #4 Posted September 13, 2013 In our area Cruisin' I would say that $400 for the package would be a decent price. Maybe $500 if you absolutely gotta have it. I know a guy that would buy that sweeper from you if you'd like to sell it. I missed out on a WH sweeper last week on Craplist.
Irv 115 #5 Posted September 14, 2013 I just bought a nice, no rust '79 C-141 auto yesterday with hydro lift and a nice 48" deck for $295 (negotiated price). I know that's a pretty good deal so I'd have to say if the C-121 runs good without any issues you shoud pay around that for it.
cruisnblue48 856 #6 Posted September 14, 2013 (edited) Well, I had to pass on this one. He wanted $800 and only came down to $700. I wasn't going more than $400. Nice tractor, but had torn bass boat seat on it. The front wheels/rims were not original. The mower deck had some repaired patches and rust holes on it. The sweeper was not original WH brand. Lots of other minor issues didn't justify paying twice as much as I wanted to pay for it. This one just didn't want to follow me home. For the $$$'s, you can buy two tractors and make a nice one from both - with parts left over.
