rmaynard 16,299 #3 Posted September 12, 2013 What engine does it have?
Don1977 605 #4 Posted September 12, 2013 It's not a K Series Kohler. My guess is an1980 1100 Special.
CasualObserver 3,411 #5 Posted September 12, 2013 C-125, C-145 or C-165 jimt's got the right idea. An 1100 Special looks like a late 70s B/C-series. (B-80, B-100, C-120, C-160) Is that a diesel transplant in there?
Kelly 1,033 #6 Posted September 12, 2013 It's a 80 to 83 (84 had steel fenders) Hydro that has been repainted with the wrong decals on it, and a engine transplant, but if that seat is as nice as it looks from here it's worth a fair amount by it's self. RMCIII 838 #7 Posted September 12, 2013 What is it worth?
rmaynard 16,299 #8 Posted September 12, 2013 The seat appears to be an original WH with logo, and I have seen them go on eBay for $250.00. From the picture, it looks to be in great shape, at least this side.
RMCIII 838 #9 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Seat is as nice as it looks in photo. What is the entire tractor worth? Edited September 12, 2013 by RMCIII
Kelly 1,033 #10 Posted September 12, 2013 Not knowing more about the tractor, about $200 to $300 tops and most of that value is in the seat, with out the seat I'd say $75-
rmaynard 16,299 #11 Posted September 13, 2013 Ditto what Kelly said.
RMCIII 838 #12 Posted September 13, 2013 (edited) Add says best offer. LOL. Already spoke to him, said he would arrange to meet tomorrow..... So, wish for the best, I was hoping to score this for Scott. Not sure what his first academic class will produce for results when it comes to the state curriculum. I only hope that we can help to keep his idea moving forward.. Edited September 13, 2013 by RMCIII
RMCIII 838 #13 Posted September 14, 2013 Ok helpers. Here are a couple photos....Does this help to identify what WH it is:
RMCIII 838 #14 Posted September 14, 2013 It is rough. Not as clean as what I had hoped for, but he is only asking $100.00... Is it worth getting for a project for Scott? Needs that I saw just by looking at it: Completely taken down to bare metal, all of the tractor, and repainted Has broken left tie rod New tube for the fender and seat- it's fiberglass Engine is not even running and is a Techy. Hydraulic ram is leaking Hood was surprisingly solid and straight, seat was as nice as what it looked in the first photo. Just needs cleaned is all, no rips, tears, or even any wear indication on the seat. Would it be worth it to get this, figure out somehow shipping, or trans. by maybe some WH fan in here, and all that is needed to restore the WH-to be used as a project for his kids. I'm looking at the potential return as well when he goes to have it auctioned off.....
Ken B 3,189 #15 Posted September 14, 2013 (edited) Tell him you'll give him 40 bucks for the seat and he can keep the rest! It would be nice to have one of them seats "in stock" It really isn't to bad at all, except for that Tecky under the hood... RMCIII 838 #16 Posted September 14, 2013 Ken- what is it though?
bitten 134 #17 Posted September 14, 2013 1981 C145 is what it started life as. I would offer $50 for the whole thing.
RMCIII 838 #18 Posted September 14, 2013 Sent a message to Scott. Waiting to see if it would be something he'd be interested in for the kids.
JackC 617 #19 Posted September 15, 2013 It is easily worth $100 just for the seat and the Eaton 1100 hydro transmission. It could be turned into a nice black hood if you don't mind doing some work on it. Also nice front fenders are not that easy to find for the black hoods. It needs a rear fender (metal or plastic) and tubes in the leaking tires. The rear fender could even be repaired with fiber glass. The correct engine, parts and attachments will be easy to find for that horse.
JimmyJam 542 #20 Posted September 15, 2013 I think this would be a good project for the kids! Let them do the research to make it the correct model! Sell that point to the seller, that it's gonna be a school project and sell it to you (for them for $50, no more than $100)... give him a tax donation receipt from the school!!!!
