bean 85 #1 Posted September 12, 2013 how do you install the plug wire into this style of magneto? it looks like it has a 1/16" diameter rod that inserts into the core of the wire, as you push it in. do you need to add any sort of adhesive? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
rmaynard 16,200 #2 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) On old lawn mower engines that had the plug wire pull out, I would clean the hole as best as I could, then coat the part of the wire that goes into the hole with clear silicone caulk/glue, reinsert it, and let it cure over night.
